Kola Olatunde

Co-Founder and AI Cybersecurity & Governance Lead
Kola co-founded Cognis Group and leads our cybersecurity and AI governance work. He acts as a virtual CISO, designing enterprise security programmes, reporting risk at board level and managing third-party vendor risk. He helps organisations set clear rules for AI, protect sensitive data and meet the standards that apply to them.
He has secured multi-cloud environments across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud using zero-trust and identity-first design, and built AI security controls for large language models and anti-money-laundering systems against the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and the EU AI Act. His compliance work spans financial services and healthcare, covering FFIEC, GLBA, BSA/AML, SOX, PCI-DSS and HIPAA. He holds an MSc in Cyber Security and is a Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect (SC-100), AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Security Specialty and Certified Ethical Hacker.
